Description
VANILLA OF TAHITI
Native to Central America, the vanilla plant belongs to the orchid family, with its typical liana shape, and grows in nature in tropical rain forests.
In Mexico, vanilla was used as an aphrodisiac mixed with chocolate, while the Jivaro women of Peru and Ecuador used to apply it as a balm under their arms and use the pods as necklaces.
Vanilla is a spice that is born thanks to a true act of love, the result of an extraordinary “marriage”. Marriage is actually called the process of artificially induced pollination of the flower by man. A wise and delicate work that only expert hands can do and that brings out the fruit of the plant.
There are numerous varieties of vanilla, among them the most virtuous is the Thaiti vanilla. Botanically unique, the fruit ripens directly on the plant without the process of human intervention, thus developing the typical warm, exotic and sweet notes naturally and spontaneously.
The extraction process of this raw material is innovative and modern. Tahitian vanilla is not extracted with solvents, but through a more natural and less invasive process, defined as super-critical CO2, which preserves all the aromatic facets and the identity of its natural profile to guarantee a high-purity extract.
Its olfactory qualities are truly unique. Tahitian vanilla is exotic, powerful and intoxicating, with creamy and very sweet notes. The delicacy of its captivating perfume, the soft and oily consistency of its pod and its powerful aroma make it an exceptional raw material.
Gian Luca Perris, nose and creative director of Perris Monte Carlo, brings out the uniqueness of this vanilla by creating an exotic and gourmet fragrance.
“I dreamt of giving voice to the soft aroma of vanilla flower that was not the most sugary aroma typical of vanilla most commonly used in perfumery. Thanks to the exclusivity of excellent raw materials, such as this Tahitian vanilla, I was finally able to create my olfactory painting “.
Vanille de Tahiti is a symphony of warm, exotic and delicately sweet notes.
A powerful and enveloping vanilla trail, enriched with floral notes of Ylang Ylang and Champaka. It seduces you with warm amber and musky facets, and finally intoxicates you with woody aromas of sandalwood.
