Patchouli is one of the most important ingredients available to the perfumer. How to put into words such a unique fragrance? Patchouli is a plant that grows in Indonesia, China and India. The essential oil is obtained by distilling the leaves, delivering a strong smell—complex, woody, ashen, moldy, camphorated and the best quality has a bitter chocolate smell. It is very, very long lasting. Its powerful scent makes it popular in aromatherapy to treat stress, depression and even to control appetite for those people trying to lose weight. It is also thought to be an aphrodisiac. Of course, it helps if you are one of the people who loves the scent.

In Perris Essence de Patchouli we use the natural Patchouli essential oil, harmonized in the heart by the richness and the sensuality of the Rose Absolute and Geranium, and sophisticated in the base by an oriental/woody touch through the blend of Labdanum Absolute, Vanilla Absolute, Iris, Cashmeran and Precious Woods. The result is a sophisticated Chypre/Oriental blend.  It is rich, warm, dry but soft.
